The Chelsea Sessions (SourMashUSA Records) produced by Phil Gammage represents Claudia's recording debut, an evocative recreation of a spirit of pop times gone bye where the ultra-sophisticated rubs shoulders with the innocent and wistful and both could blend into a seemless pure pop meld.
While the identity of Claudia herself may be a bit of mystery, the immediate appeal and grace of her singing is not. This single release consists of two cover versions: Lou Reed's "I'll Be Your Mirror" and "The End of the World" made a hit by Skeeter Davis back in the early 60's. Claudia is much more than a mere 60's revivalist though. She is inhabited by the spirit of the time, and the material, bringing to it a slightly pan-European sounding class that gives a very modern edge to classic era pop material.
