Scarlet Dukes | Scarlet Dukes Quiz | Monte DiMonte Update | Plastic Handbags: Then and Now | Buddy Ringo, Jr. Incident | Meet the 'Dukes
During the course of the 'Dukes 5/13 Bell Atlantic Jazz Festival performance in Philadelphia an unfortunate fan was involved in a regretful backstage incident involving drummer Buddy Ringo, Jr. Buddy has chosen to use this website to attempt to explain to the public in his own words the details of this shameful incident:
Well why didn't you say something then. Jesus, you offer a drumstick, fine take it or leave it. I'm a drummer I hand out drum sticks. How did you get so close to her? She was drunk and it is a big deal over nothing. All I meant was that a stick has more value if it is used. Any body can give away a new stick and not even be a drummer. I don't think I am so hard to understand. If she didn't want it all she had to do is tell me one more time and I would have tossed it away. I don't remember it being such a hard sell. Why is this such a big f'n deal anyway? I'm glad I didn't show her something else. It's not Voodoo there was no blood on the stick! Also when chicks come to dressing rooms they expect outrageous or they have no business being there. I don't think I was that outrageous. It is not my fault that she got intimidated. Fine from now on I'll ask for my own dressing room! I get tired explaining myself. I shouldn't have to. Like I'll actually see her again.
Buddy wishes to contact the young lady whom he gave his drumstick to and is offering the generous sum of $10 for it. Please contact him if you have any information regarding this incident.
